Cremorne Triples Challenge

Congratulations to Cam Norris, Rick Ormerod, and Chris Norris from the Dover RSL Bowls Club

The Cremorne Bowls and Community Club was thrilled to host the second annual Cremorne Triples Challenge over the long weekend, February 9-10, 2025. Now firmly established as Southern Tasmania’s Premier Bowls Competition, the event boasted a prize pool of $15,500.

Building on the success of our inaugural event in 2024, this year’s competition was a sell-out, with 24 teams (72 players) from both Tasmania and interstate competing in two action-packed days. Congratulations to Cam Norris, Rick Ormerod, and Chris Norris from the Dover RSL Bowls Club, who edged out Archie Burton, Jack Ellis, and Josh Walker-Davis to claim the 2025 title.

A big thankyou to all participants and of course our major event partners: Synergy Home Loans, Miena Village, Sackett Services, Boags Brewery, Derwent Mercantile, Eski Commercial and Tasmanian Mobile Locksmith for enabling such a worthwhile competition to be so competitive.

It’s also important to collectively recognise the significant amount of effort in preparing for and implementing the event. I want to personally thank and acknowledge all of the volunteers across our great club, in particular Phil Ions for ensuring event sponsorship and participation was second to none, Paul Hoddy for facilitating the conditions of play and detailed event format, Ralph Tieman for prepping the green and surrounds, Glenn Bremner and his bar staff for ensuring participants were all well hydrated, Ron Waters ensuring everyone kept to time, Sarah Banks for convening the score cards, Heather Banks for managing raffle ticket sales and Peter Seccombe and his dedicated team for what was the best catered event.

Again, thank you to everyone and we look forward to many future events at the Cremorne Bowls and Community Club.
